The Remotest Cape of the Earth Scenic Spot
Tianya Haijiao (the Remotest Cape of the Earth) scenic spot symbolizes "edge of the sky and end of the sea" because it lies in the most southern part of China. The famous poet of Song Dynasty Su Dongpo was ever banished here. A lot of scholars of ancient times and today left their footprints and wrote beautiful poems here, making it attractive for its historical and cultural connotation. Recently, the scenic spot has been improved and expanded. Within this area, vast sculptures and gardens show the feature of the sea island and attract Chinese and foreign tourists.
