Hainan Chinese Nationality Cultural Village
Located at the southern foot of the Wuzhi Mountain, Tongza City, Hainan Chinese Nationality Cultural Village is known as a Jadeite City and famous for its summer resorts. It was invested by Tongza International Reception Centre, occupying an area of over 600 mu. This is a large complex of cultural landscape consisting of architecture, folk customs, and folk arts of various nationalities.
Inside the cultural village there are more than 20 kinds of estate built on the basis of their original landscape with the percentage of 1:1. There are bamboo buildings, boat-shaped houses, log houses, a triple-house with a court building in front, Mongolian tents and quadrangles. Visitors can also see some other attractions such as a drum-shaped building, a Wind and Rain Bridge, three pagodas, Calendar Column and the Great Wall, all of them are beside different villages and are delicately arranged and are in perfect harmony with the natural settings.
Minority actors and actresses from different parts of the country offer such dances as Bamboo Dance, Rattle Stick Dance, Peacock Dance, Munao Dance and Pot Dance, etc.
People can also enjoy performance played with nationality musical instruments as Dingdong, Mang Drum, elephant's leg drum, Reed-pipe Wind Instruments, Plucked Stringed Instruments, Wooden Drum and Sanxian, a three stringed plucked instrument from Hali nationality. Visitors can also see the lively and grand folk festival celebrations of minority nationalities, among which there are Water-splashing Festival, lunar March 3 Festival of Li and Miao nationalities and Torch Festival, etc. In the cultural village, visitors will also enjoy various kinds of minority nationalities' ritual performances which are simple and unsophisticated, such as strips of Silk Ball Tossing, lifting officials with sedan, Blocking Door wine and strips of Silk Purse Tossing. And each of the amusements has its own features. You will find them pleasing to both your eyes and minds and forget to return home.
Southeast Asia Cultural Village
Covering an area of 300 mu, the Southeast Asia Cultural Village lies on the Xinglong Overseas Chinese Farm in Wanning. On the farm, there are large areas of coco trees and various of tropical fruit. There are bamboo houses, attics, fishing pavilion, balconies and bridges in the village.
Wearing nationality uniforms of the southeast Asian countries, the villagers dance and sing to welcome visitors from home and abroad.
