Qi -Zhi Ridge

Qi-Zhi Ridge is composed of seven ridges, like seven fingers stretching out ("Qi-Zhi " meaning seven fingers). It is situated in Baoting County, about nine kilometers northeast from the county town.

Qi-Zhi Ridge lies on the southern slope of Wuzhi Mountain, confronting each other. The main ridge is over 1,000m above sea level. The Qi-Zhi Ridge overlooks an extensive area of vegetation, characterised by the greenery rubber trees , coconut trees ,and areca trees. Tropical flowers and plants grow prosperously, contesting keenly for a place in the bewildering world of beauty. Another characteristic of Qi-Zhi Ridge is the large number of hot spring. Within an area of less than one mile under the ridge, there are 20 odd hot springs ranges from 70 to 100, high enough to livestock. In the north ridge there is a hot spring lake which is made up of two hot springs and one cold spring, converging to a waist-deep lake with an area of about three acres. When the sun rises from the east, mist starts dissipating. The steaming surface of the lake creates an infinite number of fascinating scenes of the lake. Besides this, there is a hot spring river that is made up of one hot spring and one cold spring. It becomes a natural bathtub due to its ideal water temperature.
